Quinoa Pizza Crust (Gluten-Free, Vegan)

A nutritious, quinoa-based alternative to traditional pizza crust made naturally with 4 main ingredients. Vegan and gluten-free, this pizza crust is easy and simple, requiring no kneading, stretching or waiting for the dough to rise.

Servings: 1 small pizza or 1 serving

Equipment:

Blender, baking sheet, silicone baking mat or parchment paper

Ingredients:

1 cup tri-color quinoa, cooked

120 ml water

1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

1 tbsp ground flax seed

1 large garlic clove

1/2 tsp dried basil

1/2 tsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp sea salt

Toppings:

Vegan mozzarella cheese

Vegan Parmesan

fresh basil

Instructions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 F.

  2. Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender.

  3. Grease baking sheet with olive oil, and spread mixture evenly in a circle.

  4. Bake for about 30 minutes, flipping halfway through. After flipping, add toppings and continue to bake. Crust should bake until crisp and there are no soft spots.

  5. Add fresh basil, slice, and enjoy!
